The sun keeps treating us so well!
Yet another sunny beautiful day!
And thank you Renilde for reminding me to enjoy some chocolate eggs aswell. Can't believe it, but I really forgot the chocolate eggs! Well, luckily there's a few easter days left so maybe I am lucky and the easter bunny will find me, the poor chocolate-eggless-person;)
Above is a frame I found at the fleamarket for one euro (!) and I have repairplans for it, just haven't started yet.

Have a happy one.
I have a few outings planned, one to a nearby island. I shall pack some hot to drink and blueberry muffins along. And something warm to sit on. In the sun.
And read. And sleep late. Plenty cuddle with my sweet cat. Meet friends.
And not work.
Above are coloured candles and tulips in a happy mix.

... about bicykles - and people on them, about sleeping with an open window, about birds in trees, about beeing woken up in the night by a cat feeling probably spring or something, about smiles, about smiley-eyes.
Above is a self-portrait of Elin Danielsson-Gambogi.
And I am listening to Anna Järvinen.

I did it,in the sence that I did not get ill after all. And got to see the perfomance I so looked forward to seeing, that is Chorusline 2013 by the Helsinki Dance Company. (This was not the musical Chorusline).
I was so empowered afterwards that I must have shine like a neonlight or something as I attracted many many warm and friendly comments by strangers while in the shop on my way home and on the bus-stop. Funny!
Now the sun is shining and I'm taking myself out for a run and then going to pamper a friend who had eye-surgery on friday and is still half-blind. I thought I pop by the library to get an audio-book for him and then some buns, huge delicious buns and coffee always helps when you feel lousy. At least a little.
Get blinded by the sun is also on the agenda! I recommend! Spring is defenately in the air, I am lucky. I get to experience spring arrival for the third time. This song does it for me, Shostakovich. Oh how I wish I could dance this waltz in the arms of, well anyone really - I simply love to dance the waltz! But I want to have room and space! Oh, like in the movies! A ballroom is what I need!
Waltz away your sunday in the sun friends!

And I feel I might be coming down with a flu. Not good. So taking it easy as I want to catch a performance tomorrow night.
Stay away from the flu and have a nice weekend!
Selma is occasionally used as "Sure" or "OK". Not that I would ever be so lame as to use it...just saying;) Lovely name. Lovely stencil. Selma. Sure you get the picture right? Selma? Selma!

It is good to step out of one's routines and the high tempo we seem to be so used to and see that life does go on. even without the rush and high efficiency we strive to maintain at any and too high cost.
A little reflecting I did this morning when drinking my coffee, looking out over the Bosphorus.
Above a little detail of something very beautiful. There is so much beauty here, it's overwhelming.

Today I experienced a wonderful relaxing few hours in a hamam with massage - I felt a completely relaxed new person walked out of the building.
Spring has arrived in Istanbul, the sun has treated us well and the trees and flowers are all about to bloom. Some already have.
Above is a charming image I picked up in a small junk-shop in Taxim.

I cannot find words to describe this magical city. The sounds, the colours, the calls from the many many minaretes, the scents, the smiles, the tastes, the laughter. I cannot remember when I last laughed as much as I have on this trip.
Above is buttonparadise in Istanbul.

Last night I arrived home from a Berlin with spring just around the corner. I enjoyed beautiful sunny days, sitting outdoors in parks and wonderful cafés and enjoying my dear dear friends. I also enjoyed morning runs in the parks and along dry streets. I simply adore the city.
Tomorrow I am heading for Istanbul and shall be back when spring has hopefully found it's way up to the north and Helsinki.
Above is a window-reflections from lovely Bateau Ivre in Kreutzberg. A great place to enjoy a glass of port before dinner, or why not enjoy the relaxed atmosphere when the tourist season has not yet hit in and made the place just one of the many many many guidebook-stops;)
I will be slightly more quiet on the blogging front due to me travelling.
Take care. Get blinded by the sun!
